John Piper and IMD helped me transform a traditional British engineering led company into a customer oriented, market driven, international Group.  IMD worked with the Top Management team to develop the strategy and create and communicate a common management style and language.
We were continually challenged by IMD to break away from our traditional thinking, to be self critical and to widen our horizons and aspirations.  Ideas that seemed revolutionary, even dangerous to people one year ago, became normal thinking a year later. Within a short time, everyone was openly talking and acknowledging the change in culture and how they felt part of a successful international team.
As I move on to new challenges, I am sure that IMD will make a distinctive contribution to this journey – and the results.
